They were seeking a complete overhaul of their visual identity, including a new logo and refreshed branding to better connect with their evolving audience and establish a more modern, trustworthy presence.
After carefully reviewing the existing brand elements, we identified an opportunity to build on the strength of their current logo concept rather than start from scratch. This case study outlines how I executed a strategic brand refresh, developed a new visual language, and created a complete brand guide to support future marketing efforts and ensure visual consistency.

Motivational Hypnotherapy came to me with the goal of a full rebrand—including the design of a new logo and website. After discovery sessions and industry research, I proposed a strategic pivot: refining the existing logo instead of replacing it. I saw an opportunity to preserve brand recognition while elevating the overall aesthetic and professionalism.
Challenge
While the client was initially set on a full redesign, I found that the existing logo concept was strong—it was recognizable, meaningful, and clean. However, its execution lacked balance and polish, making it less effective across digital and print formats.
The challenge was to convince the client of the long-term value of a brand refresh (versus a full redesign), and to deliver a final product that aligned with their goals of growth, trustworthiness, and a deeper emotional connection with their audience.
The Solution
I led a logo refinement process focused on elevating and simplifying the original mark. The refresh included subtle but impactful changes to improve balance, scalability, and visual harmony. Typography and spacing were reworked, and updated color treatments brought a modern and calming tone to the identity.
In addition to the logo work, we developed a full Brand Book outlining the refreshed visual identity. It served as a reference guide for internal and external collaborators, helping ensure a unified look and feel across all brand touchpoints.

Logo Usage Guidelines:
Redesigned to improve balance, spacing, and clarity across sizes and applications. Clear rules were provided for use on light and dark backgrounds, minimum size, and digital vs. print contexts.

Typography:
A clean and modern type system was introduced to replace the outdated fonts previously in use. The new typefaces emphasize legibility and align with the tone of trust, wellness, and professionalism.
Visual Language & Style:
The brand book included guidance for photography, iconography, and layouts—establishing consistency for future marketing and content creation. Soft gradients, minimalist line work, and subtle organic forms were suggested as key elements in the brand’s visual evolution.
Collaboration & Involvement
The project was highly collaborative. I held multiple working sessions with the client to present directions, discuss strategy, and gather feedback. Early buy-in was essential, particularly in shifting expectations from a full redesign to a strategic refresh. The final identity was well received, with the client expressing confidence in the long-term usability and cohesion of the new system.
